Best FPV "Slim-Line" Style Headset:

Winner: Aomway Commander V1

Tronage winner:

The Aomway Commander V1s in my book are your best bang for your hard earned dollar when it comes to FPV headsets.  These are a solid choice when looking at what is out on the market.  They are the perfect balance of price vs features and functionality.  These are what I use every day that I fly.

Budget option:

There are cheaper alternatives from Eachine, such as the EV100, however they lack have "true" diversity (the use of two separate receivers to get the best video signal).  They use what is known as "antenna diversity" by connecting two antennas to a single receiver.  This configuration is better then a single antenna, but nowhere near as good as having two separate antennas as the Aomway's do.  However the cost is drasticly lowered becasue of this, and they would be a great option for someone on a budget.

"Brand Name" option:

On the other end of the price spectrum you have Fatshark Dominator HD3, which are great goggles, don't get me wrong.  But their price-tag is HUGE considering the antennas and receiver module are a SEPARATE additional cost (see below for my recomendations).  These are the more recognized "brand name" that you see pilots flying.  If you have the money, and want to go this route, they are a great choice.

Best FPV "Box" Style Headset:

Winner: Eachine Goggles Two

In the land of the Box Goggle, there doesn't seem to be any "true" diversity, My guess is that the box goggle has a stigma of being "budget" to begin with, so the manufacturers may think it odd to make a "high end" box goggle.  With that being said...

Tronage winner:

Eachine Goggles Two is my choice.  It has antenna diversity (which is better then just a single antenna, but ideally you would want two separate receivers).  I chose this not only because of the tech-specs, but also for the comfort level.  You will be wearing these for long periods of time, and lets face it a box goggle is "big" so to make it lightweight and comfortable can be a challenge!  I only wish it had a DVR.

Budget option:

The Eachine EV800D.  This is an upgraded version of the EV800 which was my first FPV box goggle I purchased.  What is improved is the "D" for Diversity (Antenna Diversity, but still for the price I'm not going to complain), and it also has a DVR.  It also splits in two halves so you can use it as a FPV monitor (without the goggle portion attached).  Or for "older" eyes you can 3d print a spacer to move the screen further from the lens to fix focus issues.  The only reason this isn't my winning pick is the eight and comfort factor.

"Brand Name" option:

The Fatshark Transformers are the big brother with a big price tag to the other box style headsets I mentioned above.  These are about twice the price of the Eachine Goggles two, and I'm not sure they are "twice" as good.  And they do NOT include antennas either, so there is still an additional cost.  Personally if you are looking at box goggles, you are already looking at a more "budget" end of the spectrum, and almost at the cost of the Aomway commanders (slim-line style goggles).  The only reason to buy these honestly if you want the "high end name brand" for a box-style goggle.  Otherwise I'd go with one of my other two picks above.
